This cactus is 10 years old this autumn. It is massive. A tiny little Lowes cactus thrived and just went nuts over the years. Recently I've noticed that if I put any water in it flows immediately into the bottom reservoir. I believe it's likely root bound and needs to repotted. Any tried and true methods or tips? I dont want to lose any branches in the repotting or end up full of stickers.

god thats cute i dont have repotting advice but bottom watering fixes the issue of water flowing straight through
I nice bonsai wide pan , would look epic
idk a lot about cactuses but i think this calls for a chop and prop. im not sure if that species is supposed to grow like that. r/cactus
also i wanna touch it. 😭
I’d keep it away from the toddler toys.
That looks like someone could have knitted or crocheted it at first glance. That is the cozy looking thing I’ve seen that I probably shouldn’t touch.
Nice! For repotting I would try the chopstick method used for burro’s tail or something similar. You got this!
Would moving it so that the branch that’s resting on the table is hanging off it cause it to break? 🤔
(Intrusive thoughts here, do not try unless ready to prop as some suggested)
You can use bits of cardboard to guard against glochids, use a hammer to break the pot away, then you won’t damage the plant. Carefully lift it and set it into a new pot that is no more than 30% larger.
