I want to know why I found out the TRUMPS all buy guns with my COURT ID? WHY AM I NOT LIVING UP THERE! I want to know why I am not living up there and when I am there after a year I end up back over here. WEll we are thinking about making the police and fire department and paramedics and MOBILE services ILLEGAL. THAT THESE are considered MOBILE services. PLEASE define this. I would get two inches down and have to stop because all the rocks in my soil. It literally took me an hour to plant one plant. I had almost a full plant container of rocks equal to the plant when I was done. Never short of river rocks for landscaping though.
My experience with weed cloth is not good. It slows the absorption of water into the soil unless the area is very level. Any slope will cause water to sheet downhill. Make the cloth hole much much bigger. Also, water the plant before you fill with water. Another tip, place a sheet of newspaper in the bottom of the hole. Add a handful of milorganite fertilizer then put in the plant. Water and then backfill with soil. Water again. The newspaper will hold the water for a few minutes allowing roots to get wet. I have used the newspaper method on all my plantings for 25 years. It works
The fact that we would rather have plastic as a blanket over all the plants instead of dirt is mind boggling to me. I hope he didn’t put 4” of red mulch on top
Umm….what happens when the plant grows larger? And what if you (or the next owner) change your mind about having those plants there? Now that wood/fake wood decking is destroyed with holes everywhere. No thanks.
MG here…..ruff up the root ball a bit, water the plant well before you place in the hole, also make the hole a bit larger, mix the planting soil with the existing soil, trim the shrub back a bit to stimulate the roots. Water it in well and again in the morning then every 3rd day tapering off as your new addition begins to take root. Dont let dry out during the1st few weeks of planting. Early spring and fall are the best times to plant shrubs or young trees. Don't rely on weed blocking fabric, mulch works better and aids in keeping the roots moist as well. 😊
It doesn't matter that all those plants are going to die. It only matters that it looks good enough to be paid well, exerting only the minimum effort necessary.
