Alexandra Park Greenhouse has reopened for the 2026 season with a range of events.

The greenhouse in Alexandra Park, Hastings, will now welcome the public on Thursdays from 2pm to 4pm, and Saturdays from 10.30am to 1pm.

Visitors will be able to buy plants grown by volunteers, with stock changing weekly.

The money raised from plant sales is used to support the Alexandra Park Greenhouse Group.

The group also organises educational and gardening activities for residents.

An exciting programme of events and workshops is planned for the upcoming months.

This includes a special Mother’s Day pop-up by Little Gate Farm on Saturday March 14, where people can purchase a variety of spring bulbs and unique pressed flower cards.

These will be sold alongside the greenhouse plants, providing a diverse selection for guests.

On Saturday March 21, the annual community seed swap will take place.

This event encourages gardeners to exchange seeds and gardening tips, as well as plan for the spring season.

If people wish, they can also donate plants from their own gardens that they no longer need.

The greenhouse, which is managed entirely by volunteers, has become an important location for community gardening and environmental education in Hastings.

It is also available for hire for small gatherings, meetings, or workshops.

Updates on future events, workshops, and plant sales can be found on the greenhouse website.
