Many of my dracaena's leaves are turning brown and yellow and it has a strange rotten smell. I've had it for one year almost to the day. I just repotted it but I did notice a yellow leaf beforehand. None of the roots were rotten but it was a little bound so I pulled a couple of the bottom roots apart but otherwise left them alone. I have it outside for the photo but it normally sits by a west facing window so it does get a few hours of diffused direct light and sits under my plant light. It is more off to the side right now since I just repotted it, however. I water around once every week or two when the top inch of soil is dry. The soil has some chuncky orchid mix and peat moss mixed in. I also poke holes in the soil with a chop stick once every month. I also put a pump of Miracle-Gro Indoor Plant Food, a little Bontome II Rooting Powder to help repair damaged roots, and Sol Soils Report Recovery to the soil after repotting.
