Since last year my mostly sunny raised bed space is now about 50% shaded due to a new project my neighbors started. It now gets sun for only about 4-6 hours. I think this will increase come summer but it will technically not get much. My plan is to try to extend cooler and low sun varieties but will likely end up with a lot of unused area. My issue is planning what gets to stay.
Unfortunately I can’t move my bed placement for this year due to some health issues but I definitely will next year.
I grow a lot, but the bulk is tomatoes, beans, cucumbers, carrots, beets, and many pepper varieties. I’m going to try to leave my kale, cabbage, peas, broccoli, etc in the part shade area and hope for the best. If I have a plant that climbs enough it could reach the sun again in that area, but that might be too hard.
I assume the tomatoes have to stay due to their huge size. What can be moved out to containers and still do well? Cherry tomatoes? Cucumbers? (I have a trellis in the bed), hot peppers? Bell peppers?
TL:DR If some had to be sacrificed due to 50% space loss, what varieties will make it in a smaller container space and what varieties need to stay in the bed?

What size containers? I successfully grow indeterminate tomatoes in 10 gallon smart pots and 15 gallon plastic (landscape type) pots. However they pretty much need daily/every other day watering in the summer so I set up drip irrigation for the pots and run it at 4:30 am. Adding mulch on top helps conserve the moisture
