Im very new to taking care of a garden (you can tell by the mess in the photos). I am starting on fixing up this area soon and I have read that you can divide these plants. My question is can I just dig out the circled part to replant or do I have to dig out the whole thing to divide it? TYIA

You can dig out just one bulb if you want.
Trim off the leaves just above where they split out.
