I put this greenhouse (I bought from FB Marketplace) up this summer and was planning on using it for my starts this spring πŸ˜…πŸ˜

I'm planning on salvaging all the panels and framing up and off from the base I built which is SOLID.

Any ideas thoughts or ideas for the new design are very much welcomed. It could be worse i suppose (it wasnt full of plants.) Going to get it cleaned up today before the snow and start rebuilding this weekend or next.

Yeah, those greenhouses aren’t great in a breezy area. Even light winds can make them flex and come apart. I’d probably build solid frame from wood. I had a lean-to style attached to the lee side of my house, and ended up adding a lot more cross members and supports just to keep windows from popping out. I ended up replacing it with a Rion Sun Room, which is much sturdier… but still having some problems.

These DIY hoop houses (not mine, but I have occasionally worked in this garden) are doing incredibly well in a very, very windy area (google “cattle panel hoop house” for ideas). They leave the ag plastic on year-round in an area with heavy winters.
