Crown Point, Indiana is where Niemeyer’s Landscape Supply expanded from decorative stone and mulch into a purpose-built garden center designed to grow with the community. In this extra, the owners share how they spent two years designing the new build, serving as project managers and shaping every detail to create a space that could stand the test of time.
What was once stone bins and a smaller garden center became a larger, more inviting destination after years of steady growth. They explain why they outgrew the old setup, how visiting other garden centers helped inform their plans, and what it means to “go all in” on a new chapter.
The conversation also reflects on the family story behind the business—from a grandfather who started it, to a father who expanded it, and the hope that a fourth generation might one day decide to carry it forward in Crown Point.
