The OSU Lake County Master Gardener Volunteers announced their next Meet Us in the Garden talk will begin at 10 a.m. April 4 at the Mentor Public Library Main Branch, 8215 Mentor Ave.
The topic will be “Rescuing Your Lawn from Grubs.” Experts will discuss ways to determine the cause and how to eliminate pesky problems such as lawns with patchy brown/yellow spots, spongy or loose turf and having critters digging up a lawn, according to a news release.
There will be a question-and-answer afterward. Brochures for these monthly talks through November will be available this session at the library and local community centers.
It’s free, but registration is required beginning two weeks prior to the talk. Go to mentorpl.org, call 440-255-8811, or stop by the library.
Looking ahead, the May 2 talk at 10 a.m. ath the Mentor library is on “Mental Health and Gardening.”
