NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) – Authorities ordered an emergency evacuation late Thursday as a wildfire rapidly moved south toward Lake McConaughy.
The evacuation order covers the area from north Highway 61 to the Keith County-Garden County line. Officials directed residents to evacuate until further notice.
The evacuation point is the Lake McConaughy Visitor Center. This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
