Butterflies in Bloom continues through April 19 at the Dow Gardens Conservatory, where visitors can see thousands of colorful butterflies flying freely among tropical plants.
The exhibit is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily except Mondays through April 14, followed by extended hours from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. April 15-19. Admission is included with regular Dow Gardens entry or an annual admission card, but advance reservations are required at dowgardens.org or by calling 800-362-4874.
Weekend visitors can also stop by the Butterfly Craft Barn for crafts and activities. The barn will be open daily during spring break, March 28-April 4, from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Because of construction on Dow Gardens’ new Welcome Center, guests should use the Eastman Avenue entrance and check in at the temporary Welcome Trailer in the main parking lot. The St. Andrews entrance is closed.
