Since yesterday ive noticed that my water isopods are crawling up the glass out of the water. Yesterday the highest was just a centimetre above the water, but today theyre even more and higher up. What is happening? Does that mean something is wrong with my water? Or ar they trying to migrate?
Its a freshwater ecosphere that has only been closed for a few weeks.

Forgot to add, theyre not dead, when i tilt the jar to get them into the water again they are swimming around again just fine.
Probably oxygen. There’s not enough being produced by the plants. A good way to test this is to open it up for a minute or two and then close it. If they are back in the water for a while, it’s oxygen.
Probably not enough oxygen, or too much co2 or amonia poisoning them
don’t close the lid. they need oxygen.
