Your tree is still too young, there’s nothing to prune unless there’s something rubbing that we can’t see.
Also, bamboo stakes should be removed at time of installation. They create a dependency which leads to skinny, upright growth.

Hey y’all! I planted several natives last spring/summer and picked this Southern Crabapple up from a local nursery because of it’s beneficial diversity (birds, bees & butterflies). I’m worried I’ll mess it up, so I was looking for advice on how to approach pruning to encourage growth.
I tried Googling and scouring YT, but could only find references to already-mature crabapple trees.
Thank you for any advice!
*Edit: We’re looking at another cold spell next week
