MURRAY, Utah (KUTV) — As the weather warms up across the Beehive State, it may be time to get outside and start your garden.

For more and more people, gardening has become a social event, where neighbors can gather, share produce and connect with nature.

ARC Salt Lake visited spoke to Salt Laker Cerra Teng about her project, Cultivate Garden.

She said they offer hands on lessons on gardening while bringing the family together.

Teng said the platform also helps connect people who want to learn how to garden with those who already have the space, tools or experience to share.

Through the website, people can find local gardens, learn new skills and get involved with others who enjoy growing their own food.

Teng hopes the project helps more families spend time outside while building stronger connections in their communities.
