You can barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, saute it. Dey's uh, pumpkin-kabobs, pumpkin creole, pumpkin gumbo. Pan fried, deep fried, stir-fried. There's pineapple pumpkin, lemon pumpkin, coconut pumpkin, pepper pumpkin, pumpkin soup, pumpkin stew, pumpkin salad, pumpkin and potatoes, pumpkin burger, pumpkin sandwich. That- that's about it.
Pumpkin and Broccoli Quiche is a fav of mine! Roast the pumpkin with some salt, oil & basil then add with broccoli to a blind baked pastry, add egg and top with cheese & chives!

The supposed need to panic is a myth. Yes fuel prices will rise in the short term. Given that after 10 days of this military operation, with the islamic regime all but defeated, it pays to remember that apart from China and Russia, no one else was buying Iranian Oil. The Iranian navy is all but destroyed with only small attack boat left, which are slowly being decimated like the narco boats from central and south America. Bottom line is that short of a choke hold in the Straits of Hormuz, oil will keep flowing to the rest of the world for refining. There's already been an increase in traffic through the Straits even before the US navy starts providing cover. The sad thing in this country is where we had 12 or more refineries, we now have two. So after we extract the crude we put it on a boat to Malaysia for it to be refined and sent back to us as fuel.

Getting a spray nozzle-style bidet was one of the best choices I ever made. Feels fresh, and never had to buy cumbersome packs of toilet paper again, SERIOUSLY cannot recommend them enough!!!
Careful what you ask for… lol. Recipes I've found/adjusted collected and use frequently: (fully cooked / puréed or canned) pancake, waffles, cupcakes/muffins, brownies, cookies(biscuits) can be used with raisins/dehydrated fruits, almonds, pecans, milk/dark/white chocolate chips. Quick breads, cheesecake, pies (baked and fried)… also works will cut into pieces or purée (thickener) for soups, stews. Shredded, coarsely ground and then mixed with beef or pork for 'burger', taco stretchers, burritos, baked oatmeal… about half the recipes I use, came from "Taste of Home" magazine "Pumpkin Cookbook" and a dozen or more "old" cookbooks (church, social club, farmer's wife's type of thing) and of course parents & grandparents. Opps almost for got the seeds, baked plain or with a spice for added flavors.
Recently found one on-line that uses boxed spice cake mix and small can of pumpkin (use box instruction but short the water ~25ish percent (i.e. 1 cup down to 3/4 cup) and add about 4-5 minutes to the cupcake baking time. I feel it works best as cupcakes vs full size cake. I mix/blend the eggs, pumpkin puree, etc. – first – then add the cake mix (works better for me and like the texture after baked)
Great video Mark. Interesting times. I’ve got and am getting my autumn winter staples in my small suburban beds. Now I’m throwing around saved Asian green seeds to fill in gaps. They grow fast. Provide greens fibre nutrients and help to feed our 3 Guinea pigs too. I have purple sweet potato growing wild in all corners of my gardens. I leave it as a living mulch and sometimes a chops drop. Occasionally for fun I dig around and find sweet potato. That is not a current staple but it can be if it comes to it

Could you do a video for us who rent housing and/or living in apartments? It's nice to be able to live in a home with a massive yard, but it's quite another thing for most of us who got no choice but to live in subpar conditions.

2:52 So there is a way if you are willing to have diesel engines on everything and heat with heaters that run on diesel. You could in theory use a lot of the waste from your garden to make bio diesel to run it all. That's not to say it's easy to do but it is possible.

I live in walkable city and not a craphole that requires driving hours away to accomplish basic shit. So I don't have this problem! 15 min walk from work and 6 month food reserves 🙌 But then again if the crisis becomes real we are all fucked 😂 Society isn't likely to collapse just become more expensive and more miserable for many!
