Hello, I recently came into possession of this absolute unit. Five or six years old with 8 huge leaves in a 12 inch pot. Her roots are busting out the bottom of the pot but she just put out a new leaf so I was going to leave her be for a while as she seems happy enough? The lady who gave her to me waters with water and fertilizer through a foot tall moss pole using a plastic cup with holes in the bottom, she said she does this about twice a week but does not directly water the soil.
I have around 50 plants at this point so I'm not a total noob but I've never had one so big and I'm so intimidated I'm going to kill her somehow!!!
How much water should I be using vs fertilizer if I'm only doing a plastic cup's worth, and how many cups per watering?? At what point will I need to repot and should I just get it out of the way while she's already stressed from the move, or let her acclimate for a few weeks? She will likely need cut out of the pot as her roots are so packed in there but I've personally found monsteras seem to like that and I suppose that's what this lady found too.
