    Thanks for addressing bird bullying. My Scrub jay couple has scared off all the finches and other small birds.

    So the solution is to give the jays their own feeder?

    I did not know this but the Praying Mantis is a predator of Hummingbirds. They can catch the birds at feeders and in trees and even flowers. They can snatch them out of the air and start feeding on them while they are alive. They eat the brain while holding the bird. I have started paying more attention to the feeders. I lost one last season and I think it was a praying Mantis that took it.

    Robbie, my tomatoes have sprouted. Do I have to remove some of the sprouts or can I leave them all in the cup until I can separate them when I plant them outside? Please let me know. I am a neophtye gardener! Thank you for your advice.
