I am also dealing with 50 mph winds, it's been a couple of days and should end tomorrow. On my wee island in northwest Washington State it is actually a fairly common thing and I have things I do whenever the wind kicks up since I almost always lose power at some point, most importantly I boil up a carafe of water so I can have hot tea at least.
