Lawrence County Master Gardeners (LCMG) are planning an iris sale March 21st at the Moulton Lions Club. Many of the iris rhizomes that will be offered for sale are part of the Bernice Miller Collection. Bernice Miller was a North Alabama bearded iris hybridizer with over 64 hybrids under her name through the American Iris Society. Gerie Biffle, Miller’s granddaughter connected with the LCMG to assist her in preserving her grandmother’s legacy. Proceeds from the sale of the iris rhizomes will enable Biffle and the LCMG to continue the legacy. LCMG have set up an area to plant Miller’s iris.

The event will be held at the Moulton Lions Club on Saturday, March 21st from 9 am to 1 pm. The Moulton Lions Club is located at 455 School St. in Moulton. For more information about the sale you can contact the Lawrence County Extension Office at 256-974-2464.
