PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. (CBS12) — An elderly man is dead following a crash that occurred in Palm Beach Gardens on Sunday.
According to a Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO) crash report, a 2017 Toyota RAV4 was traveling southbound in the left-turn lane on Alt. A1A at Atlantic Road, while a 2014 Dodge Charger was heading north in the inside lane, approaching Atlantic Road.
A third vehicle, a 2016 Kia Soul, was traveling behind the Dodge. According to the crash report, the Toyota made a left turn into the path of the Dodge Charger, striking the passenger side of the Toyota.

The crash report states the Toyota was redirected northeast and came to rest on the sidewalk. The Kia Soul swerved to avoid the collision, striking the passenger side of the Dodge Charger and causing it to veer northeast as well.
The Dodge charger came to a rest on a sidewalk and the Kia Soul stopped with the front of the vehicle on the passenger side of the Dodge Challenger.
The driver of the Toyota, a 92-year-old woman, and the passenger, Hans Homburger, 92, were both taken to Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center.
Homburger was later pronounced dead at 7:56 p.m. due to the injuries he sustained during the collision.
