I've been eying the Mr Stacky system for vertical strawberries, and wondered if anyone has done this with their existing drip system. I can't find any info like what soil if you don't want hydroponic, and how much emitter flow. Their site talks about coir, but I've never used it, just peat based media. Also, does it make sense to use just top emitters, or simply put a lower flow emitter on each level for uniformity?

I used the Dollarama version of these two summers ago for herbs and strawberries. With soil. In my climate it was difficult keeping them moist in the summer heat, and the strawberries in ground and in larger pots grew much better. It did okay for some of the herbs but those also grew better in bigger pots. I personally won’t bother with the stacking setup again.
The weeds loved it, the strawberries…..not so much. Dries very quickly.
I’ve heard the greenstalk does the best of these tower planters. But it’s also like the most expensive. No firsthand experience though. Worth looking into though of you’re considering it
Absolutely awful. There isn’t enough room for the plants to adequately spread their roots, they don’t get nearly as big as they should and trying to keep the water levels adequate is a mission.
Do not waste your money on this. Look at green stalk i have 3…. its an addiction…
