Love the mix of hardscape and decking in this build. Lots of square foot of usable living space for that customer now. Did you have much excavated soil in this build and did you have to haul it away?

Before I spent the money for a patio with no footings or proper drainage.. I would have gotten rid of the vinyl siding and cheap windows and doors… then moved on to the back… But… I am guessing that this house hit the market shortly after this work was finished.

Using your house to support your deck is not good. Should have added another set of footers so deck is freestanding.

I hope the wood deck post are pressured treated, bc you do not put wood directly into the ground. In several years, it will rot away. All the money was thrown down the drain.
This backyard looks amazing, really nice design, I thought they would add a small pond on the back with koi fishes in it. This makes me want to redo my deck and backyard, lol..

Why wouldn’t you remove the grass under the deck? It’s going to die anyway. Just put rock under it. Amazing build otherwise.
