I noticed this tuft of hair a few weeks ago, but it hasn’t really done anything that I’ve noticed. I assume it’s trying to be a flower, but I can’t tell if it opened up and I missed it, or if it aborted the flower, or if it’ll eventually bloom. Are the larger spikes at the top to protect the flower, or is that how big they’re supposed to be over the whole plant and it wasn’t getting enough light before?

The flower stalk itself is usually quite long and will push through the spines. I’d say keep watering and treating it like normal and you’ll have a gorgeous flower soon enough 😌😌
