Nine Perth has announced it is the official partner of Western Australia’s premier gardening and outdoor-living event, the Perth Garden Show. The event returns to the scenic grounds of McCallum Park from April 17 to 19, bringing together the best of WA’s horticultural and lifestyle industries.
Presented by Greenlife Industry WA, this year’s Perth Garden Show is set to be the largest iteration to date. The 2026 event will feature an extensive program including interactive home and garden workshops, the Water Corporation Garden Design Zone, and the Richgro Knowledge Centre Stage. Visitors will also have access to Perth’s biggest plant market, offering a massive variety of flora and gardening supplies.
The partnership is anchored by a special appearance from Trevor Cochrane (pictured below), the long-standing host of The Garden Gurus on Channel 9. This year’s show serves as a dual celebration, marking Cochrane’s milestone 25th anniversary with the iconic program. As the show’s special guest, Cochrane will share his decades of expertise with attendees, celebrating a quarter-century of inspiring Australian gardeners.
Trevor said: “There is no better place to celebrate 25 years of The Garden Gurus than at Western Australia’s premier gardening event. I’m looking forward to connecting with the local community at McCallum Park, sharing gardening tips, and celebrating the passion for outdoor living that makes WA so unique.”
Ross Hooper, President of Greenlife Industry WA, said: “Nine Perth is a trusted, household name with a strong local presence and deep connection to the WA community. Their ability to showcase local events with energy and authenticity makes them the ideal partner to help grow the Perth Garden Show and introduce the event to new audiences,” he said.
“We are particularly thrilled to welcome Trevor Cochrane as our special guest this year. A passionate horticulturalist and industry advocate, Trevor continues to inspire audiences across Australia and around the world. We’re delighted to have The Garden Gurus joining us at the 2026 Perth Garden Show in April.”
Head of Marketing, Communications & TV Programming at Nine Perth, Peter Brennan, said: “We are excited to partner with the Perth Garden Show, an event that perfectly aligns with Nine’s commitment to supporting the Western Australian community and celebrating our unique local lifestyle. Gardening remains a massive passion for our viewers, and we look forward to helping make this year’s show a standout success.”
