I started using this in-ground compost bin last summer but haven’t checked it or added to it all winter unfortunately. I’m getting ready to plant in my greenhouse, can I use this soil?
You can use it (after pulling up those potatoes and getting the stick out), but you might want to sift it.
The next questioning how to use it. If you sift it you can till it in with your soil. If you just dig out the black stuff and leave the larger bits, it might be best to use it as a mulch on top, because stuff will still be decomposing and can steal nitrogen from plant roots.
