WSU Whitman County Master Gardeners are hosting their monthly Garden Talk Tuesday, March 10, at 1:00 pm at Neill Public Library in Pullman.

The presentation, “How Plants Beat Drought and Heat,” will be given by Dr. Andrei Smertenko and will cover how plant anatomy and biochemistry have adapted to heat waves and drought conditions, which are increasingly common on the Palouse.

After the talk, Master Gardener volunteers will staff an “Ask a Master Gardener” table beginning at 2:00 pm to answer gardening questions and diagnose plant problems.

Garden Talk Tuesday is held on the second Tuesday of each month.
