Review for Caroline in the Garden:
Caroline in the Garden is the imaginative pop project of singer-songwriter/producer Caroline Milby. Known for warm minor chord energy, off-kilter piano hooks and lush orchestrations, Caroline invokes a timeless pop wonderland evocative of Tori Amos, Regina Spektor or Aimee Mann.
She will be sharing songs and stories from her debut album, Act Two, out in wide release Friday, April 10.
In 2023, after decades of following the rules, attorney, wife and mother, Caroline Milby threw herself from the capitalist conveyor belt and into a sonic exploration of femininity and freedom. Her debut album, Act Two, is the result. Featuring a stirring collection of baroque pop gems, Caroline blends captivating piano hooks with lush synth and witty lyricism to create a soundscape that has been
called “intensively forward thinking” and “uniquely resonant.”
She will be joined by local artist Ashly Ann Dilbeck. Tickets are $10 (plus tax) and are
available now online.
