Basildon Council is reminding residents that the annual Garden Waste Subscription Service renews on Wednesday 1 April 2026. Anyone who does not re‑subscribe by this date will see their weekly garden waste collections stop.
The subscription covers the period 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027, offering residents a convenient way to dispose of grass cuttings, leaves, small branches, and other garden waste throughout the year.
Subscription Costs
The service remains straightforward and affordable:
· £50.00 for one garden waste container
· £50.00 for each additional container
These charges apply to all subscriptions starting from 1 April 2026, and households can sign up for up to 10 containers per address within the borough.
Residents who already hold a subscription and wish to add an extra container can do so by contacting the Council’s customer service team on 01268 533333.
