hi everyone, have I sown my pea seedlings too early? they have grown really quickly and im not sure what to do next – surely it’s too cold in the uk to plant them out? how long can they stay in this seed tray for? thanks!

Depends on the type and where you are while many say sow from march outside that depends on your climate. even in the uk it varies, London is far warmer than Newcastle.
Peas do better in deeper pots, so you do need to do something. I would harden these off over the next few days and try planting them out into their final place. If starting in pots use deeper ones.

Gloucestershire here, I’ve got indoor started garden peas and sweet peas outside in the ground and in a pot and they’re doing just fine 😁

It’s good to let them acclimatise outside and especially to get some wind on them as I read that indoor started ones sometime struggle with that.

I also dropped some loose peas outside (from a seed packet, not from my dinner) and they have indeed sprouted.
