It has been raining so much lately that I haven’t been able to get out and work on many garden projects, but we finally got our first snow of the year here in February—and it was so beautiful while it lasted. In today’s winter garden update, I’m sharing the gorgeous fern-filled area just outside our back door, what my husband has been working on, and my plans for this beautiful backyard space near the woods.
This area has such a peaceful woodland feel with natural ferns, holly trees, and a view that feels even more beautiful in person. I’m so excited to start cleaning it up more, possibly add flowers, and figure out how this space might fit into our bigger garden plans.
I’m also sharing a little life update about why I’ve been a bit inconsistent with filming lately. Managing and restoring 5 acres is a lot of work, and since I do most of the yard work myself, it can be hard to balance projects, filming, and everyday life. But I’m working hard to get back to posting more regularly and sharing all the projects still ahead for 2026.
