So ive had this pothos for over 6 years now, and she had so many more vines all across my ceiling! But moving and the rearranging lost a few good ones. I have this bald spot in the middle of my longest vine and I really dont wanna cut and prop it. Is there a way to encourage leaves in the badl spot or is it really just cut and prop?

leaves aren’t going to grow from an existing area on the vine, they grow from the end point. if you really don’t want to chop it, you can just guide another vine to grow right along it and kinda cover up the bald spot. my vote is almost always for chopping though, because pruning can encourage growth on the rest of the plant and you can make the plant bushier by planting the cuttings back into the pot.
I’ve had leaves grow in the middle of a stem, but I can’t tell you why. Hopefully someone else can chime in!
Edit: it might have potentially been a new vine offshoot, I’m really not sure. It’s not there anymore and is too far in the past for me to remember exactly
just put some growth hormone paste on the nodes if your lucky the majority of them will come back i use grow paste
I’ve had variable success with keiki paste – worth a try!
