Leaves collecting at the bottom

Monstera novice here. My plant has several leaves clustered near the base.

I recently repotted it and tried to anchor a moss pole deep in the roots, but it’s already starting to lean from the weight.

Any advice on the best way to support the plant, and whether the cluster of lower leaves is something I should address or just leave as is?
