I'm getting this green algae looking thing (see lower right cell). Is this normal/harmful?

The top layer of soil is just staying wet for too long.. I dont think it’s necessarily harmful towards ur seedlings though.

  2. Normal for peat-based mixes. They can be tricky with watering, as they can form a crust when they get the algae like that, which causes them to become hydrophobic on top but hold in moisture underneath. It’s a minor pain, and you’ll probably be okay, but it was enough to get me to move to coco coir-based mixes.

I’ve grown these Maverick geraniums, and they’re so easygoing. Your plants should be fine despite this issue.
