In winter, having plants and flowers around feels like a lifeline to spring. When we’re stuck inside and the weather is constantly gloomy, they’re a much-needed reminder that blooming flowers and thriving greenery will be here in no time—even if it seems far off.
Now, after months of cold, gray days, the start of spring is nearly here. And with it, our plant collections are no longer just refreshing signs of the season—they’re gearing up for their time to shine.

Ahead of the season’s start, many of us are looking for new and fresh additions to add on to our plant collections. Right in time for spring, Aldi is bringing a calming crowd-pleaser to store shelves that shoppers are bound to scoop up fast: lavender plants.
Lavender Plant, $9.99 at Aldi
Aldi (Aldi)
At just $9.99 each, Aldi’s lavender plants are on brand at the chain’s signature low prices. Plus, who doesn’t love having the smell of lavender around?
Its light purple alone feels like the dreamiest touch, and that’s before taking in its classic fragrance. Based on Aldi’s website, they also come in pretty matching purple planters too. These flowers and planters really embrace the down to earth, quiet pops of color that arrive in spring.
Aesthetics aside, lavender is drought-tolerant, so it doesn’t need to be watered all the time. In fact, our lavender care guide explains it should really only be watered when it’s noticeably dry. You’ll also want to make sure to put it in a spot with full sunlight too.

More Garden Finds Coming to Aldi
In addition to this lovely lavender, more items are coming to the Aldi Outdoor Living and Garden section of its Finds aisle. For a simple—yet stunning—display, its 12-stem rose bouquets are returning in a variety of colors for just $6.99.
Aldi is also helping shoppers jumpstart their spring gardens with a mix of $3.99 spring bulbs that are ready for planting. At that same $3.99 price, shoppers can also pick up a Gardenline Ornamental Shrub to brighten up their yards.
In other words, spring is officially in the air at Aldi. You can expect to see all of these finds in stores starting March 11, where they’ll stick around for the week (unless they sell out before that). So, kick off the start of spring with these beautiful blooms to enjoy all season long.
