What I’m doing in this short:
Top-dress the bed with compost (I’m using an “Organic Mushroom Compost” blend)
Add a layer of worm castings for gentle, plant-available nutrition
Work it into the top few inches to improve texture and microbial activity
Water it in so the amendments settle around roots and drip lines
This is an easy reset that helps with soil structure, moisture retention, and steady growth—especially before spring planting.
