Should I replace this gasket or is it still good?

    Get a candle or incense stick, run it around the edges and see if its leaking, it’ll suck air in while running. If so, go buy some rope seal.

    If it’s brittle and falling apart it’s worth replacing. pretty cheap easy to do

    Can the air valves completely kill the fire? If not change.

    We run ours for 3 years and replace whether it need it or not.

    Pretty cheap stuff.  Less than an hour or so to do. 

    We don’t even bother testing for leaks.
