I got off work early yesterday and was able to visit Florida Cactus for the 2nd time as they are only open Monday through Friday until about 4pm. They are a wholesaler who also sells to individuals and everything is mostly unlabeled and priced by pot size.

Last time I visited (about a month ago) there was no trichocereus in sight but decided to head back yesterday for some rootstock, as I looked at some pictures I took last time and thought I saw at least some Echinopsis spachiana that I must've assumed was something else. Couldn't find any of that, but I sure as hell was surprised at what I found instead……

In terms of IDs I'm thinking….

Pic #2 non-PC Pach (with Myrtillo as an honorable mention)

Pic #3 some of Peru?

Pic #4 more non-PC Pach

Pic #5 variegated Peru (score?!?!) with 2 other Perus

Pic #6 more Perus

Pic #7 Peru with beautiful farina (with Myrtillo and Polaskia as an honorable mention)

The remainder of the pics are shots from the nursery itself. I wish the pach they had was bigger but they root and grow basically everything in-house and said that the warmer weather has allowed many of their cuttings to root lately so I will check back in like May.

I plan on using the non-PC pachs (and maybe a few of the lackluster perus) as graft stock but some are soooo tiny so I guess I'll see how they grow over time (my setup is becoming overrun by growing rootstock 😩).

Anyway, for anyone in Central Florida, check out Florida Cactus in Apopka if you can! They are great. Just be ready to ID cacti yourself and use Google Lens if you have any second guesses (with the results taken with a grain of salt of course)

Nice score! So they don’t label anything? Why do you think that is?

Are they really not open weekends? I have a conference up there soon and was hoping to swing by but there’s no way I’ll be done before 4
