The first Olive Garden in Waukee will soon be opening.
Hailey Fitch, spokesperson for Olive Garden, confirmed the Italian restaurant chain’s location at 420 SE Alice’s Road is set to open March 30.
The Waukee location is part of Waukee Towne Center, a 62-acre retail, dining and entertainment complex being developed southwest of the intersection of Hickman and Southeast Alice’s roads.
The area already includes a Target that opened in October 2024 — where the company’s new CEO visited in February — and a Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers.
The complex also is planned to have an array of other retailers, green space and an 8-acre lake, access to the Raccoon River Valley Trail, a playground, an amphitheater and an ice-skating rink.
There currently are three other Olive Garden locations in the metro: 770 SE Oralabor Road in Ankeny, 6157 SE 14th St. in Des Moines and 3600 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines.
