63 years ago my grandmother Polly (no longer with us) first took my mother (Kate) to Bohortha in Roseland, Cornwall. Kate has returned to the same place every year of her life, sometimes staying in this timber boathouse. She first took me in 1986 when I was not yet 1, and I have returned every year of my life too. Yesterday, on Polly’s birthday, along with other family members, we completed the purchase of ‘The Boathouse’, the realisation of a very long held family dream to own a property in Bohortha!
