One member summed up the mood perfectly: “Everyone was enthralled.

“I was sat at the back and you could hear a pin drop – no fidgeting or rustling – everyone hung on her every word.”

Ms Kent spoke about being invited to design a show garden for the RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival in 2022, despite having limited experience.

Her garden, centred around daisies, was filled with practical features and abundant, colourful planting centred around daisies.

As an ambassador for the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS), Ms Kent promotes disability inclusion in horticulture.

Her positive message, that there is no single “right” way to garden, resonated with the audience.

Her energetic style and candid storytelling made the afternoon both inspiring and entertaining.

The society’s next public event is the Spring Show on March 21.

Entry is free and open to all, with a £400 prize pot.
