I have been trying to catch up on fall chores. It has been very dry since last June, only a few medium showers, and one lovely snowfall. I have been watering my beds and containers. Lots of things are budding and putting out leaves. Daffodils are blooming. We had bees about 2 weeks ago. Robins are back…. And I have loads of seeds to plant…
Snow is free fertilizer too… It puts nitrogen in the soil.
I like to see these videos of you revitalizing the totes for spring gardening as that's the season we are in now. We are just now hardening off seedlings for transplant here in zone 9a and some seeds will be directly sown in the next two weeks. Also, what is the cascading vine coming down the retaining wall from where the trees are up above? My eyes are drawn to it every time you show that wall.

Watching you prep inspires me to start planning my garden. I miss So. Calif. and the weather! In OR we have had warmer temps and some rain, but will have to see how March unfolds. At times we don't get snow till March. I also hesitate putting weeds in my compost because of our shortened season with weather and worry that weeds won't completely break down and will sprout.

Hi Robbie! ⚠️⚠️⚠️ One word of warning is not to pull privet out of the yard and put in a tote. It will grow and take over. Have to let it completely dry out and die, then it can be used in the yard. It’s a major pain here in GA.

Robbie you have taught me so much through the last five years it's just phenomenal. I started with one tote like you advised and have turned my small space into an abundance of food. I wish I could show you my beginning and current garden. I think you'd be proud and amazed.

I think it’s a really good idea for you to take us along as you do different chores in the garden, especially how to refresh totes. I live in zone five, so my timing is different from yours and I still would like to know how to refresh totes, etc. Keep up the good work. I also like your appreciation for weeds and what to do with them!
Will you also talk about that wheelbarrow because as I’ve gotten older I like to buy them with flat free tires. Have a hard time finding them.
