I don’t know much about Nemopsis medusae, or if what ChatGPT told me is at all accurate, but if they have a lifespan up to a couple months then it tracks that they are nearing the end. They have been absolutely fascinating little creatures to get an up close and personal look at, a view that, I suspect, very few have been lucky enough to get.
Overall the jar continues to thrive. Algae is slowly growing more and more commonplace, long strands of green hairs. I need to remember to take a picture of the whole thing.

Sort of off-topic, but try using perplexity over chatgpt. It does a better job with niche information and cites its sources.
