This will be my first time going. I’m interested in tomatoes, yes but also peppers and eggplants. Those who have been there before, I’d appreciate any words of wisdom. Those lines look like Interstellar’s giving away pork belly or something.

We’ve gone the last two years. That picture does not reflect my experience at all! Maybe these are the true sickos who wait in line before it officially opens? We went at like 10 because I am a lazy weekender

There was no line to get into the garden either year, and a mild one to get into the pepper tent last year. Even that line moves fast, they have like plant docents(?) to help people keep it moving

yeah, thats the line before it opens, they do run out of some varieties, but also everyone has a wagon for their haul lol

Talk to people in line. My best gardening advice has come from talking to other Austin gardeners waiting in line to get into a tent. And yes, I think I waited in line for 15 minutes for the herb greenhouse – still not a big deal. Bring water.

People who bring dogs and strollers really jam up the works. Leave cute little ones at home 🐶👶

How long does it take to get in with a line that long before opening?
