I believe this is a jade tree and I’m not sure how to help make it healthy. I have been watering it very little because I’m scared to over water it. I’m not sure of normal water habits I heard it’s sparingly but I wasn’t sure if that should change to help revive it. I just got recently and decided to put it on this window to get sunlight. I have kept it there without moving it so far. I have no idea what type of soil is there but I figured I need to repot this with new soil so suggestions for that would be greatly too! Literally any advice to help would be awesome!!

It looks like you may be asking about a cactus or succulent. In addition to any advice you receive here, please consider visiting r/cactus r/succulents for more specialized care advice.
A common problem with cacti and succulents is etiolation. This is when a succulent stretches or becomes leggy. Reply with “!etiolation” for advice.

It looks like it’s being watered too much. Give it a lot of sun and let it dry out quite a bit before watering. If the leaves r rasiny, water it. Never ever water until all of the soil is bone dry
Keep it in a sunny spot. Water generously, let the soil dry out, wait a couple of weeks, soak again
Cut it back, less water, more sun
I’d put it in a different pot too. Once it gets healthy and grows it’s going to be heavy and that thing looks like it would tip over easily. Right now you don’t have to worry about knocking leaves off. It doesn’t need a big pot. But I’d go for a round or square one. Especially if you have a cat lol
