I didn’t understand just how many individual plants were in this pot when I bought it. I want to split them off for their long-term health, like to know what I’m up against first. Any guesses as to how many individuals I’m dealing with, and any advice in getting them apart?

Youll have to dump them out of the pot and start separating to see how many. Looks like a hand full at least
10-12 maybe. Take the pot off and shake/tap soil loose. Untangle roots. If some break it won’t be end of the plant or anything. I’ve done the same for a friend who bought one from a box store. Don’t be too afraid of doing it.
I had a “less full looking” pot like this and it was 11 🙃
Buy some little pots, stakes, ties and mix some soil before you pull these guys apart, or you’ll have to go to the store party way through 🤣
Uhm… A lot. To count the amount you should know that one plant is one string of leafs. Kind of like one singular line that has limbs sticking out with a leaf at the end. It looks like a bunch with 3-5 leafs each.
There are videos on how to seperate them. That will explain much better than anyone in text.
6… 7….
I would guess 8-10 tbh lol
My mom had a slightly larger pot and ended up with 18…you definitely don’t have THAT many but you may be surprised 😅
I got one like this from Lowe’s as my first recently and went to untangle and the roots were….a lot. I just repotted and left as is because I was too scared to untangle. I’m a bit of a black thumb so I didn’t want to take any chances.
Looks to me like 8-10. That’s a nice looking group!
5-6 plants.
I have one that looks a lot like this. Should I break them up into different pots, then?
