Students dig into Garden Day at Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens

First- and second-graders from two Palm Beach County elementary schools attended Garden Day at Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens in West Palm Beach.

Hundreds of Palm Beach County garden enthusiasts braved morning showers on March 1 in search of a new plant during the Garden Club of Palm Beach’s annual Spring Boutique & Plant Sale.

Luckily by around 10 a.m., an hour after the event began, the rain stopped and sunshine lit up the free outdoor boutique at The Society of the Four Arts. More than 20 vendors sold items for the home and garden, apparel, gardening books and other products at the grassy area that stretches from the King Library past the Esther B. O’Keeffe Building.

Many guests dressed as fanciful as the plants on sale with floral and brightly colored sundresses and caftans.

The outdoor sale is a centerpiece to the club’s popular House & Garden Day, celebrated on the first Sunday of March.

Beyond the countless items on sale, the gathering also gives attendees the chance to talk to experts to learn how they could curate the most luscious garden.

This year’s vendors include Back Country Mercantile, Bella Tu, Community Garden Center, Sarah Marie Powell, John’s Jungle Handmade Market Baskets, Kemble Interiors, Laurel Orchids, Leta Austin Foster and Daughters, Polly Reed, Pine Jog, Quest Orchids, Rory Mackay, Sara Campbell, Supernaturals, Susan’s Jewelry, Trieste McIntosh, Garden Club of Palm Beach vintage book table, Voyage International, Woodturners, Zwikker and Zacher, Ltd.

Proceeds will help the club continue its focus on horticulture, the environment, conservation and civic improvements.
