I would suggested semihydro, fertilizer and a lower light spot – it does need light but not being direct under a grow light or sun (like other alocasias like). My experience with mine 😊

I purchased a Melo last year that had 3 plants in it. All I can say is that this plant is now on my list of ‘plants that get super stressed out with a repot’
So while it needs some space and a good repot, be aware you might lose some leaves bc it doesn’t wants its roots diddled. Have fun!
(Mine looked droopy for maybe 1-2 months and it’s good now)
