Jonathan Sledge Jr. and Lamauri Gilbert-Grays are each facing five counts of felonious assault, plus a charge of tampering with evidence for the Feb. 23 shooting.
WARRENSVILLE HEIGHTS, Ohio — A Cuyahoga County grand jury has indicted two men for their roles in the shooting of two people at the Warrensville Heights Olive Garden last month.
Court documents show that Jonathan Sledge Jr., 19, and Lamauri Gilbert-Grays, 19, were indicted earlier this week on five counts of felonious assault and one count of tampering with evidence. The felonious assault charges all contain firearms specifications.
Sledge made his initial court appearance on Tuesday, with bond set at $100,000. Records show he posted a surety bond. Gilbert-Grays’ initial appearance was canceled.
Arraignment for both men is set for Thursday morning in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court.
The shooting at the Olive Garden in Harvard Park took place at around 10 p.m. on Feb. 23 as the restaurant was closing.
Dispatchers told 3News that the Beachwood Police Department provided mutual aid and took two suspects into custody.
