Theres a few large trees out my front yard (I believe they're Chinese rain trees) that drop a million seeds every year and they sprout everywhere! I usually pull them out when i can be bothered, but I found this unique one growing in a crack between my front porch and some concrete. I've put it in a medium mix i made (coco coir, perlite, sand, basic potting mix, a tiny bit of the clay like soil from where it was growing around).
These saplings seem to grow everywhere in whatever soil, but this one doesnt seem to be too happy, its currently under a shadecloth pergola like area in my backyard so it gets filtered sunlight, just as it was in my front yard. I took it out of the ground 2 days ago, do I wait and see if itll perk up again, or should I be doing something more?
I'm just super excited to have found a variegated plant growing in my yard by complete chance!
Pic 1 was taken right after I picked it out of the ground, the rest are from today.
