Discover the 2,500-year-old aquaculture system that produces more protein per square foot than cattle ranching—for under $600. Learn how to build a self-sustaining backyard pond that feeds your family fish, eggs, and independence for a decade. This ancient Chinese polyculture method, perfected by Fan Li in 475 BC, was deliberately kept from modern homesteaders. Until now.
In this video, you’ll learn:
✅ The Tang Dynasty innovation that created self-feeding ecosystems
✅ Why Auburn University buried this research in the 1960s
✅ Exact fish species, duck breeds, and aquatic plants that work
✅ How 1,000 square feet produces 350 pounds of protein annually
✅ Winter survival strategies for northern climates

🌱 WHY THIS MATTERS:
The industrial meat system, valued at over $200 billion annually, has no incentive to teach backyard protein production. But climate instability, supply chain fragility, and rising food costs mean self-sufficiency is no longer optional—it’s essential. This system has survived 2,500 years because it works, regardless of what governments or corporations prefer.

Use the metric system man.
The real reason it fell off was nobody wants to eat carp if they don’t have to 🤣 especially dirty ol pond carp
my only issue with this, is that you're eating pond fish.. wich taste like sheet lmao.
only cold water fish are tasty. cause of all the fat they create to stay warm
What beneficial bacteria need to be added? Or do those spontaneously come into existence and balance themselves out?
I’d need someone around to kill it or I’d starve anyway I feel too bad lol
But then idk if I can even trust someone who can just kill something man I can’t wait until you can be vegan and not also a sickly annoying person
06:12 👍
The realty about USA way of people and economy management
, and they show they want to fix the whole world
👍 16:35 very good 🌷❄️🏔️
Would it be possible to not harvest the eggs, and use the pond ecosystem system to produce ducks instead of fish?
A.i. voice is turning me off…

Talapia also will thrive in toxic water and then themselves become toxic if not properly cared for. I developed an allergy to them after moving from the uk because fish farms will feed them toxic corn and wheat which are bad for your health.
I meditated in the park and wrote journal entry about my ideal home and life. This is exactly what I pictured. Then your video popped on my feed as soon as I got home! This was meant to find me. Thank you
I would love to do this
Ahhhhhh, so this is just a big "fuck you" to the consumer, just another way to one up the lil guy, great to know. Corporate America actively squeezing the average households, and all under our noses…
small hat people will get mad if everyone would have one of these in their backyard
14:52 am I tweaking or are those dragonflies with duck heads?

For all people making calculations about money saving, profit, etc. this solution is one of the best for.. stress relief through peace of mind. Most of time the money problem is a food problem – like putting food on a table to feed the family -, and that creates a lot of stress to many people. When people are stressed they buy stuff they don't need to alleviate the effects of stress (or to forget about it even for a few moments) and this is how the powers to be win everyday against ordinary people. With solutions like the one presented here that stress – even some mental illnesses -, can be reduced to almost zero. And that's the real benefit.
Anybody know how to make this work in a desert climate? I was already planning on an aquaponics system, but this seems to do the job better, though I'm going to have to do research
In Vietnam of have upgraded version very long ago. It is GPC in english; G for garden, P for pond and C for cote.
In 475bc (shows 465).. if thats in the first second of the video im sure everything else is spot on lol.
Yeah… I hate fish lol. I can eat sushi, but cooked fish tastes like absolute shit 😂
AI SLOP
The video says in 475 bc but reads 465 start with a lie stop it internet u drunk
Thank you
Automatic fish farms were created by Asians?
So sad this got patched 😢
but what if i like pork and beef?
Fuck ai
Based on the 10x15x4 measurements you gave you will need a 20'x25' liner ideally 40 mil epdm to provide longevity which based on current pricing of around $2 per sq foot the liner alone is $1000
I knew the 5 little duck songs
had more meaning
Skip to 6:30 for the instructions on how to build it.
wow
Why are there 4 basicslly the same accounts posting at the same time with the same thumbnail and title. Seems pretty sketchy to me tbh…
The conclusion to this video shoulda been talking about how you help your starving neighbors make this habitat for themselves instead of just enjoying what you have and not worrying about grocery prices. We have to help and support each other from now on because the systems we have in place are failing.
lol grand pops had the Mississippi River
People are being fined and even thrown in jail for collecting rain water on their property…. So not sure how this would work for any of us..
In my country that could easly be taxed…
This would be such an awesome idea if only I don't hate duck meat and egg
Is this why some Asian countries eat a lot of duck?
Can i do it in a bath tub?
